Protech/ Safariland Fast Attack Vest (FAV)
Safariland's PROTECH line of Fast Attack Vests (FAV) integrates First Spear Tubes and laser-cut Advanced Webless System (AWS) webbing. This design cuts bulk and weight, accommodates multiple soft/hard armor combinations, and utilizes quick-release systems for rapid deployment and scaling.
The entire vest, as pictured with accessories, weighs in at under 10lbs in size medium.
Outfitted with ultra-light, ultra-thin HARDWIRE HW-2015-10-SB soft armor panels for the front/rear, cummerbunds and traps/shoulders.
Areal Density: 0.68 lbs/ft² (extremely lightweight).
Thickness: 0.18 inches (4.572 mm, world-class thinness).
Material: Constructed with individual layers of DSM Dyneema forged under immense pressure (over 25 million pounds of force), resulting in a stitch-less, flexible design.
Buoyancy: The Hardwire Level IIIA Ballistic Panel is neutrally buoyant and will float in water.
These FAVs are a uniquely equipped batch of high performance vests, and stock is extremely limited. These provide close to the ultimate weight-to-coverage ratio available, far outperforming any other soft armor vests we have stocked up until this point.

Note: All vests are "ZZ" length, similar to 2X-Long. This provides greater coverage at the cost of some flexibility/comfort.

Plate carriers such as this are compatible with ballistic plates of matching size, i.e. a size medium vest will generally work best with size medium plates. For vests that include soft armor, ICW plates can be used to minimize weight.
