Level III+ USI Delta+ D2741 Ballistic Armor Plate
This is an ultra-light 3lb 1.6oz plate manufactured in very limited quantities by United Shield International. These plates were only sold to law enforcement and were later re-launched with a heavier external coating and called the APL-RF1-100. This layup combines ceramic and UHMWPE for performance that exceeds level III NIJ standards.
The USI APL-RF1-100, the same layup with a different coating, retails for $450 per plate.
United Shield International uses a proprietary ceramic based technology combined with Polyethylene to achieve the NIJ 0101.06 certified Level III stand alone performance.
