Prototype generation 3 military issue Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV)

This vest is a rare prototype for the Gen III IOTV, and one of very few made in the UCP pattern. As the Gen 3 was originally created to accomodate female soldiers, this is a "female" plate carrier and is designedto be more flexible to accomodate a larger chest.

Includes collar/ neck yoke armor, lower back, and groin armor. All are issued with the prototype package and not aftermarket. Ideal for a militaria collector looking for something unique.

This product includes ballistic soft armor.

Plate carriers such as this are compatible with ballistic plates of matching size, i.e. a size medium vest will generally work best with size medium plates. For vests that include soft armor, ICW plates can be used to minimize weight.

Surplus/ used items we sell have been properly cleaned/ sanitized and inspected for wear. We describe and grade the conditions of items in our inventory to accurately portray what you will receive. The soft armor in this vest may be past the factory warranty date, although this doesn't necessarily impact performance.
